Torrivilla

Torrivilla is a multidisciplinary writer specialized in contemporary art and critical studies of culture in Latin America. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Art History at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He is the founder of the art and institutional relations platform “Procuraduría” and serves as a strategic advisor for academic, audiovisual, and journalistic projects related to contemporary culture. Torrivilla has collaborated with initiatives at New Inc. of the New Museum in New York, the UNAM, the Ministry of Culture of Jalisco, and the FEMSA Foundation. He is a professor in the Master’s program in Curatorial Studies at the UNAM and in Humanistic Studies at the Tecnológico de Monterrey. His most recent book, “El círculo de la rosa” (2024), is an experimental publication that combines historical essay, archival intervention, and documentary fiction to reconstruct the emergence of conceptual practices in Venezuela during the 1970s.
