Echo Can Luo’s artistic activities proceed from the narrative of diverse backgrounds to engage with the methodological reconstruction of racial identity and gender equity in the digital world. Based on the algorithms, including 3D modelling, 3D photogrammetry and face tracking, her project aims to observe the biased and differentiated algorithm in the process of applying and testing software, as well as the influence of discrimination and bias experienced by people from diverse backgrounds in real-life situations and data.

She has been a part of Monitoring, 34. Kassel Dokumentarfilm & Videofest, and has shown her work at the Kampnagel, the Bundeskunsthalle, the Chengdu Biennale, the CAA Art Museum, the HAU, the MdbK Leipzig, the KAI 10, Mediations Biennalethe, OCT Box museum, the Kasseler Kunstverein, the Kunstraum Villa Friede Bonn and the Panke Gallery, amongst other places.
