Edgar Alejandro Hernández, born in Mexico City in 1977, is an editor, researcher, curator, and art critic. He holds a Master’s degree in Art History from UNAM. He is a co-author of the books Future Souths: Dialogues on Art, Place, and History; La casa que nos inventamos: Contemporary Art From Guadalajara; Sin límites. Arte contemporáneo en la Ciudad de México 2000-2010; and Déjà vu. Celda Contemporánea 2004/2007. He is also the editor and compiler of the books Abuso mutuo by Cuauhtémoc Medina and El arte de mostrar el arte mexicano by Olivier Debroise. He has curated exhibitions by Tufic Yazbek, Yoshua Okón, Josué Mejía, Rolando López, Daniel Monroy, Javier Barrios, and Cristóbal Gracia. He is a co-producer of the film El No-Me-Mires by Carlos Amorales. He has published in El Universal, Reforma, Excélsior, the German Press Agency (DPA), Gatopardo, Letras Libres, Chilango, Revista de la Universidad de México, Utopía, Código, Vice, Ramona (Argentina), Artishock (Chile), Terremoto, Harper’s Bazaar, and Forbes. He is the director of Revista Cubo Blanco.
