multipolar

intercultural platform 当代艺术跨文化平台

multipolar is an intercultural platform dedicated to studying exchanges between cultural scenes and their respective geopolitical contexts. Its goal is to create a space for analysis and critical reflection where diverse perspectives converge, examining how artistic, curatorial, and social practices interact with political, economic, and social dynamics. Through research projects, publications, and collaborations, multipolar seeks to understand the tensions and transformations that emerge from encounters between different realities, fostering dialogue that enhances mutual understanding and cooperation between cultures.

multipolar was founded in 2022 by Emilya Rendón, a year marked by the recovery and reconfiguration of artistic practices following the impacts of the pandemic. In the field of contemporary art, the use of digital platforms and hybrid spaces for the production, dissemination, and mediation of art was consolidated, expanding the boundaries between local and global spheres.

In this context, multipolar was established as a platform dedicated to the study and articulation of contemporary cultural scenes across diverse regions, promoting critical exchange and constructive dialogue between cultures.
