Emilya Rendón

Founder and Director of Multipolar

She is an independent curator with a background in Visual Arts and Architecture from UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico).

She has participated in various seminars on image theory and curating, such as Curatorial Exercises for a World-Image led by Amanda de la Garza, or Curating From Here, led by Gerardo Mosquera in Panama. Her research interests consider the current geopolitical context in culture, coordinating pedagogical and exhibition programs that explore “the Latin American” and its implications in the global south, such as Curating from Latin America at Intercuraduria 2021 or Fly Fly, Latin American Tourist Visions in Zone of Wear, among other initiatives.
