Daniel Daou

Daniel Daou, born in Lebanon in 1982, holds a Ph.D. in Design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he was also a fellow at the Consortium for Energy of the Environmental Center and editor of the doctoral design journal “New Geographies” from 2013 to 2018. He also holds two master’s degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), one in Urban Planning and one in Architectural Studies with a certificate in Urban Design. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Universidad Iberoamericana in 2006, where he graduated with honors and academic excellence. Currently, he is a member of the Sistema Nacional de Creadores of the Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes, an associate professor at UNAM Faculty of Architecture affiliated with the Laboratory of Sustainable Environments, and a member of the editorial board of Arquine and the Faculty of Architecture. His interests revolve around the ideas of critical sustainability, territorial metabolism, and design and political ecology.
